Mandeep Dhillon Partner, CPA, CA & LPA
Mandeep Dhillon, CPA, CA, is one of the founding partners of DW LLP, Chartered Accountants. He obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 2010 and has over 13 years of public accounting experience. Mandeep focuses on understanding clients’ business goals and objectives in order to develop business and tax strategies tailored to their needs. His specialties include providing assurance, advisory and tax planning strategies for privately held corporations in a variety of different industries. Mandeep takes a personal interest in every client in an effort to build a long-lasting relationship and ensure that they are able to achieve their business goals.
Mandeep Dhillon graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration with Honours. Mandeep began his career in public accounting at Fuller Landau LLP where he was responsible for the preparation of compilation, review and audit engagements for privately held corporations in a variety of different industries. He later moved on to join Bateman Mackay LLP where he played an instrumental role in creating and implementing their assurance infrastructure.
In addition, Mandeep was responsible for helping small businesses convert from localized GAAP to Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). At Bateman Mackay LLP, Mandeep developed the tools to provide owner-managers with sound business advice to meet both their financial and tax planning needs.
David A. White Partner, CPA, CA & LPA
David White has been practicing public accounting since 1987, having received his CA designation in 1989, and he is a Licensed Public Accountant, a qualification required to issue assurance opinions such as Audit or Review Engagements.
David believes in taking a hands-on approach, honing in on each client’s needs, while keeping in mind their business and personal goals.
“Assurance reporting requirements can be daunting. I like to help my clients address their needs by cooperatively planning to achieve the greatest efficiency and by proactively identifying and addressing any potential issues.”
His practice has been largely focused on providing business and tax consulting services and providing assurance engagement opinions to a diverse range of owner managed businesses, foreign owned subsidiaries, as well as for charities and Not-for-Profit organizations.
Committed to keeping the accounting profession true and strong, David sat on the Practice Inspection Committee of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPAO) for six years. During his career, he had also held the position of President of the Etobicoke Chartered Accountants Association for many years.
David is a proponent of giving back, acting as a business mentor to young entrepreneurs and championing their start-up businesses. He is involved with a number of charitable organizations and fundraising activities as well as sitting on a condominium board and neighbourhood associations.
At home, David is married, an avid fitness enthusiast, dog lover, and a fan of live music and theatre.
Marija Bojat Senior Manager, CPA, CA & LPA
Marija Bojat, CPA, CA, LPA is a Manager at DW LLP, Chartered Accountants with over 12 years of experience in public accounting. She graduated from York University receiving a Bachelor of Administrative Studies with Honours degree, Majoring in Accounting and Finance. Marija began her career at Abrahamse Pinto LLP where she worked for over 3 years. She continued her career, joining Bateman MacKay LLP an accounting firm in the Mississauga area, prior to joining DW LLP in October 2017.
Marija’s experience includes a broad range of client engagements including audits, reviews and notice to readers/compilations, preparation of personal and corporate income tax returns and various other business advisory matters. Her experience spans across numerous industries including charities, investment companies, medical professional corporations, transportation/logistics, manufacturing, distribution and not-for-profit organizations. Marija has in-depth knowledge of all four of the current accounting standards in Canada (International Financial Reporting Standards, Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise, Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations and Accounting Standards for Pension Plans).
Marija focuses her attention on ensuring that she supports her clients throughout the business cycle and helps owner managed business meet their tax and accounting needs. Marija’s core principle is based on delivering value to clients by improving operating results, maximizing after-tax dollars and planning for future financial needs. Marija is dedicated to delivering exceptional client service that meets the specific needs of each of her clients.
Roman Belenky Tax Manager, CPA, CGA, BCom
Roman is a Tax Specialist at DW LLP. Roman is a trusted advisor to Owner-managed business and their families. He specializes in Canadian corporate tax and reorganizations, purchase and sale of business, succession planning, and Trusts and Estates. Roman is also a Licensed Public Accountant and has experience in auditing and accounting of small to medium sized business and not-for-profit organizations.
Roman has completed the CICA’s In-Depth Tax Course and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario)
Michael Fromstein Director of Taxation, CPA, CA, TEP, MSc, MBA
Michael has over 30 years of experience assisting companies and their shareholders with corporate and personal matters including corporate reorganizations, international tax planning and estate planning. Michael has previous experience as a tax partner for a national firm, Grant Thornton, as well as several non-national accounting firms. In addition to a focus on owner-manager tax issues and estate planning, Michael has a focus on working with businesses with non-Canadian customers to design and implement cross-border tax strategies to reduce the non-Canadian tax burden on foreign profits. Michael assists in creating tax effective financing arrangements for start-ups and developers of intellectual property, including CRA tax rulings to obtain “flow-through” treatment for investing in small offshore mutual fund and to circumvent impact of “kiddie tax” for individual investors. Michael also provides tax effective dealing with intellectual property issues, especially with a cross-border focus.
Michael has completed the CICA’s In-Depth Tax Course and In residences courses. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario (ICAO), and Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) and an OICA instructor on a variety of income tax courses and a tutor at the CICA tax practitioners in-residence course.
